Labor Day 2017: Working Hard to Fuel America
The first observance of the Labor Day holiday was on September 5, 1882, and the idea of the “hard working holiday” was passed along to other labor organizations in 1885. From there, it was widely adopted and celebrated in many industrial centers across the U.S. – and it’s a nice way to end the summer months and head into the fall season!
In preparation for the holiday, we wanted to share insight into the working world with some current U.S. labor stats and trends, as well as showcase our own employees who are working hard each and every day for our customers. The logistics landscape has been making some big moves over the recent years – and so have we here at Transplace!
