Halloween 2017: The Sweetest Supply Chain Influencers to Follow
It’s no secret that, for many children, one of the biggest treats of Halloween is knocking on doors and collecting as many peanut butter cups and chocolate bars as possible. And while the holiday is a delight for kids, Halloween also has a significant impact each year on supply chains across the U.S. According to the National Retail Federation, nearly all of this year’s 179 million U.S. celebrants plan on purchasing candy. And all of those sweets need to be manufactured, shipped and delivered on time for trick-or-treating on October 31st!
This year, we don’t have any candy to hand out, but we do have a sweet surprise! Below, you’ll find a list – in no particular order – of 10 industry influencers and resources that are a “treat” to follow, and will help you stay up-to-date on the latest supply chain and transportation news.
